HOW SHOULD I PREPARE FOR MY IN HOME MASSAGE?

Please provide your therapist with a clean, level area, free of pets and clutter, on which to place their massage table and other equipment. Do not wear jewelry. Please have clean skin, as massage oils and lotions can irritate skin, clog pores, and create pimples when combined with sweat and dirt. 

Let your massage therapist know if you you have had any recent injuries or surgeries, have any serious health conditions, or if you have any bumps, scrapes, or bruises. You will be professionally draped for the duration of your service, and your modestly will never be exposed. Contact us here with any additional questions that may not be covered on this page.

SERVICE AREA

Our Licensed Mobile Massage Therapists are happy to travel to you, provided you are located in our service area; in Phoenix - East of 44th Street, North of Thomas, and West of Hayden.  All of Paradise Valley and Scottsdale North to Lone Mountain Road. We visit San Tan Valley on Thursdays and Fridays.  Please be aware that your appointment time may require adjustment, depending on the service location, and drive time required. 

GENERAL MASSAGE CONTRAINDICATIONS

If you are experiencing any of the following conditions, massage therapy is not appropriate for you at this time. 

• Fever, cough, blot clots, pregnancy, kidney or liver infections, rashes, bruises, sunburns, contagious diseases, uncontrolled hypertension, fractures, open/healing wounds, severe inflammation, and some cancers. 

CANCELLATION POLICY 

Phoenix Massage Therapy requires 24 hours notice to cancel an appointment without penalty. If proper notice is not given, the client will be responsible for the full cost of the massage, regardless of the reason for cancellation.  Our email is PhxMassageTherapy@gmail.com and our phone number is 480.420.8126.

PAYMENT METHODS

At this time, we accept payment by Zelle, Venmo, or Cash. Our fees include travel and set up, but not gratuity.  Payment is due immediately upon receipt of service. 

ELDER AND ONCOLOGY MASSAGE 

We are happy to visit you, or your loved one, at an assisted living community or hospice facility, and are equipped to provide massage to those whom are bedbound. We do not, however, dress/undress, lift, roll or bathe our clients who have limited, or no, mobility. Our therapists do not give medical advice or suggestions that are outside of our scope of practice. 

MANUAL LYMPHATIC DRAINAGE CONTRAINDICATIONS

Our massage therapists are professionally certified in Manual Lymphatic Drainage by the Academy of Lymphatic Studies (ACOLS), and practice the traditional Vodder technique. MLD is not an appropriate therapy for everyone. Those conditions that are always contraindicated are, but not limited to: Renal Failure, Cardiac Edema, acute DVT, acute infections, and acute bronchitis. If you have any concerns about MLD, please consult your physician.

Phoenix Massage Therapy abides by the regulations declared by the Arizona State Board of Massage Therapy. We are determined to conduct our business interactions with honesty, compassion, integrity, accountability, and kindness.

ZERO HARASSMENT POLICY

Any and all sexually based messages, or inappropriate behavior, will be immediately reported to the police as solicitation. We reserve the right to press charges within 300 days of an incident, per Arizona law.

You are aware of the benefits and risks of massage and give your consent for massage. You understand that there is no implied or stated guarantee of success of effectiveness of individual techniques or series of appointments. You acknowledge that massage therapy is not a substitute for medical care, medical examination or diagnosis. You have provided Phoenix Massage Therapy and its therapists all medical conditions that you are aware of and will inform your practitioner of any changes in your health status. You understand and acknowledge that your personal health information will be collected. You understand that all information that you provide will be kept confidential unless required by law. You understand and consent that your medical information may be shared by the various care providers involved in your personal care and treatment. You understand that massage treatments are not covered by extended health care plans. You understand that it is your responsibility to provide immediate payment for treatment.
